The 2020 issue of the University of Hawai‘i research magazine, Noelo, features SRL’s 3D body scanning, highlighting the Shape Up! Studies and Astro3DO Study. As with all our research, our mission is to reduce the burden of cancer in the Pacific. Our 3D body scanning research explores the feasibility of using body shape to monitor your health better than other mediums, such as weight on a scale, to help people live healthier and live longer. The article further discusses our work in bringing all the body shape data into the modern era of machine learning and the application of 3D body scanning in space.
